Is anyone using a Seals Pro Rand with their Nomad? I have a Nomad large and the website recommendation is a 1.4. I see some people saying they had to size up (for other boats) online. Should I go with the 1.4 or 1.7? Ordering online.

Thanks!

BoaterTalk Stikine 4
Good Afternoon,

I was thinking about firing up the Stikine but my roll just isn't 100% dependable. Seeing how much progress you guys have made has given me hope. Is there perhaps a more durable float for class 5+ or is the standard float good to go in those situations as well?

Thank you!

Seems fine to me. Its bigger than the 8.5. With that said, I would like to try a large but just never have.

Take the seats out the back and its perfect.

BoaterTalk Cheoah / BSF 1
We paddled the Cheoah Saturday and BSF at 1900 Sunday as well. Was the best level I've been on it this year.

BoaterTalk Kokatat
OK - with my Kokatat XL drysuit - everything on a Large fits well except my shoulders. As I move my arms out, the large would be constricted. If it wasn't for that, I would wear a L.

I'm guessing maybe I'll just buy the XL and send it back if it doesn't fit right.

You like your Sweet Protection better than the Kokatat dry tops you've owned?

Hello!

My Kokatat GMER dry suit is a size XL - L was too small because of the shoulders. Does anyone know if I'd wear the same size in a Sweet Protection Supernova? About to order online but cannot tell from their sizing chart if I'd need a L or XL.

Thanks!

BoaterTalk Happy Seat
The boat does have Happy Seat and I really haven't spent much time adjusting it. I just pumped it up slightly after the "beads" felt settled. I need to spend some time with that. Replacing the backband tonight first.

BoaterTalk Will Try That
But what do you think about not being able to roll well with the backband after it's slipped? Should that have any effect on your roll?
wgbennett
I just bought a 2006 Superstar and notice the backband will slide really low down my back after rolling once and then it becomes harder for me to roll with the backband in that position.

I believe the fix for that is just to replace the backband with the current Jackson version that has rope attached higher up, so I'm going to do that tonight. Thoughts?

Also, should the backband falling lower make it harder for me to roll, or is that in some way indicative of bad technique.

Now following

I'd be interested if anyone has an answer on this as well. It seems like the current trend is to have more volume in boats. Maybe this is just following that trend?
