as all artificial obstructions/dams lead to silt collection, though Tugaloo must be fairly deep.  The Corp of Engineers has had to decommission some dams because silt effectively filled up the reservoirs.  Bull Sluice Lake on the Chattahoochee in Atlanta is already there - it's full of silt from years of bulldozer glory and development.  The Mountain Park community has a lake so shallow now that you can "walk on water."
