I've been trying to learn to roll for two winters of pool classes now, without much luck. I am an older fellow and I am very inflexible. I suppose that anyone with spinal injuries would have the same problems that I do.
I can not achieve a very good set-up position. I definitely can't get my hands out of the water above the surface. It seems like I am starting deeper in the water than a lot of the younger and more flexible fellow-students that I watch.
So, any suggestions from other seniors, or anyone who has had spinal problems that cause a similar inflexibility?
