Started in open boats but went to kayaks in 1976.  Slalom raced during the 80s (Ocoee, Nantahala, St Francis MO, Wausua and here in arkyland).  Helped pioneer a few first runs in Arkansas (Richland Creek in 1978).  Many trips to Colorado (all the Arkansas River sections, Upper Animas, Roaring Fork, Crystal, Piedra, San Juan, Taos Box on the Rio Grande).  Also several trips to West VA (Gauley, New, Tygart, Big Sandy, Blackwater).  My current fleet includes my old RiverSport 82 Whipper slalom boat, WS Stubby, WS X, WS ForPlay, Perception Java and DR SL350 is my newest.  Recently (2008) backing off steepies and just enjoying the easier pace after way too many road trips driving all over  chasing rivers.  I also bicycle alot, especially road bike with the lovely and charming she-cat.  I love to climb big mtn passes out in CO on the road bike....my favorite is Independence Pass.  Also into running and did my first marathon last year (2008) at the ripe age of 57.  Still going and going and going.
