The Crazeefool

Just a little about me. My real name is Mark and I am currently studing outdoor education at college although my course rarely takes me to college :0) In this post I am working as an Activity leader, which roughly translates to leading adventureous activities such as kayaking and then filling in the paper work after (that bit sucks)
Paddling has been my passion for a few years now,i have competed in various different disciplines. Although my fav three parts of kayaking are Freestyle, River running and coaching
In Freestyle kayaking i am reasonable proficient I can cartwheel, spin and on good days I can even splitwheel and blunt although the later i am still perfecting (actually im still perfecting the lot). I try to compete at my local rodeos whenever they come round but I dont have much of a competition head and usually have the worst rides of my lives but its all good fun
River running is cool as it forces me to travel, I have been to Austria, France New Zealand and a far off planet known as wales to paddle white water. I am very comfortable paddling grade three and am starting to paddle grade four rivers, but my lack of car means I am restricted, as I cant get lifts as often as I would wish. Coaching wise I am a BCU coach level Three trainee, which means I am qualified to assist lead white water trips on moderate water. I enjoy coaching at all levels I think its one of the most worthy privilages a paddler has to teach another all the cool stuff he can do. My qualifications give me access to the
greatest summer jobin the world as it allows me to spend the summer on the river teaching kayaking, its a hard life

Im quite clued up on kit design as I hate paying vast amounts of cash for kayaking kit unless I understand the production processes and the design features, especially so with boat design. this fasination leads to me quite often giving advice to my mates who dont take so much of an interest.
I am currently paddling a ProZone 230, whilst scrounging the money together for a Riot Tekno which looks very impressive.
