I agree! I think that he meant to give it 10 rating, though! Yes, this paddle is indestructable and the blades don't wear down like on a Werner. You can break it down for travelling and know your paddle is safe (it comes with a handy travelling bag). And when you put it back together, it locks and stays in place. There are different combos of materials you can get for your shaft and your blades depending on your budget and needs. The more carbon you get, the lighter.
The paddle is just a touch heavier than a one piece. However, I paddle with mine full time because I like having a sturdy paddle in my hands. Also, there is A LOT of power in the blades. Using these paddles changed my paddling. I went from not really noticing or using my paddle to having much better technique and power! It is really good for girls who want more power!
And you can have a few sets of blades for different stuff--like one set for creeking and one for playing--and save money and space!
