This boat will be the envy of all your sea kayak buddies. When I paddle with the the big boys 16,17,18 foot fiberglass sea kayaks, usually I am out in front.
It handles 3 foot waves on the Great Lakes like Lake Huron and many inland lakes and rivers. Maneuvers wonderfully, rolls easily, has plenty of room for equipment 8,500 cubic inches. The backband was upgraded to provide additional surface area for comfort. The plastic footpegs have been swapped out on my boat for aluminum rails with spring loaded positive lock pegs. Boat moves easily in a straight line with proper paddling technique, skeg can be used on really windy days. The boat will take abuse and does not need to be treated as a baby.
