How did you come up with this arbitrary age of 40?  I'm and still surf at a high level. In 1996 at the age of 55 I won expert wave ski beating Kenny King and Dick Wold who were 2nd and 3rd. It's not a bragging point, but that at 40 I hadn't lost any of my fitness level. Whether I go to Costa Rica or not, I think masters should upped to at least 50.
