Lots of SUP people at SanO also and they make them stay in the same area as kayaks and wave skis. Now kayakers have somebody to hate sitting outside of us catching waves earlier! Kidding, most of them are very nice. In fact, in the spirit of SanO and party waves, I dropped in on a SUP, there was actually a small peak and some distance between us, and pulled away from him and kept going. He didn't look real happy but he was very quiet so I didn't worry about it. The next wave a guy on a ski did the same thing only he really dropped in on the guy, like right in front of him. The SUP guy didn't say anything but was just staring at the guy on the ski as he stood right behind him as the went across the face of the wave. A long time SanO ski guy pointed out to the other skier that he just dropped in on Gerry Lopez. I guess I did to then, but I smoked his azz on the wave so it didn't matter! LOL just kidding. He was very quiet though and didn't say much to anyone that I could tell.
Funny the people you run into and over at SanO.
