I'm assuming the the squirt boat in question floats you above the water? You wouldn't want to have your boat submerged in any kind of wave. Otherwise, it should be ok, though it might be difficult to paddle out as there is likely little bow rocker. You really don't want to surf the beach break. When you flip you get beat down and risk injuring your neck. Once your comfortable surfing, you might play with beach breaks more often, but I wouldn't to start.
