"For a kayak-friendly surf zone in South Jersey, I am pretty sure Stone Harbor is where to look (it's been a few years). Farther north, the 20th street beach in Belmar is for kayak surfing. To me, Manasquan Inlet is probably the best, but it is also a favorite of board surfers so learn the ettiquette."
I hit DE and MD beaches when I can get out there (I'm in DC) My summer schedule is pretty much blown, but I will be headed to Assateague for surfing in Sept. if you're interested.
