Advice on one-man raft size
New

Hi guys, I'm new to rafting in general and I'm an old guy (50+). I'm looking for a little adventure for just me and my dog on some rivers around western Washington and Oregon. More along the lines of a float trip but I don't mind a little Class 1, 2 or 3 stuff. Anyway I want to buy a raft thats sized right for one person to row, yet still large enough to carry camping and fishing gear and a dog. I'm looking at a 12' aire tributary which seems about right but I don't know. Its not self-bailing but I'm not sure I need that. Is there an advantage to not having SB? Is a 12 footer too big? I appreciate any advice for this beginner. Thanks.
