I read somewhere that propane contains about 21,400 BTU/lb. At that a 20lb tank would have 428,000 BTUs of potential energy in it, so you would expect a Coleman 2 burner stove that burns 20,000 BTU/hr at full blast to last 21.4 hours on a full tank. Typically you wouldn't have it at full blast all the time, so the tank should last longer than that. I just bought a Partner Blaster jet burners that burns 120,000 BTUs/hr so given that math it should only last 3.56 hrs on full blast. We burned up a 10 lb tank in about 2 total hrs burn time on my last Middle Fork trip so that would support those numbers.
