"I know all of you AVON, Maravia, AIRE, types think our product can't compare in quality but I assure you they can and do. This post will probably get trashed by these types of people but I suppose that just goes with the territory of providing a comparable raft at 1/3 the cost"
And I wonder what "Types" you think we are?
But, back to the issue; Are any of the "comparable rafts" glued PVC? If not, they're not comparable. Period. Unlike glued hypalon, which lasts forever, PVC slowly gives off gas which deteriorates the glue the raft is held together with. Older glued PVC boats had seam issues after only a few years. The glues have gotten better, but there are NO 20 year old glued PVC boats. OTOH 30 year old glued hypalon rafts are common. And welded PVC can last a long time. But glued PVC? I'm not saying it's impossible. It just hasn't been seen yet.
