I have a new Lynx and an old Lynx, and have been happy with
a cammed-in ethafoam footrest.  For pack-in trips, which I do
often, I got an NRS kayak float bag for $17. It weighs almost
nothing, clips in, works well, but is not ultra durable.

A friend bought and installed Lynx footpegs.  They are plastic,
and failed the second time he went over Lower McCloud falls.
Furthermore they make the boat hard to roll up.  That's one
of my objections to the Sotak.
