Stilettos were the most like a hardshell, Flat bottom, foam floor, not a lot of rocker, very hard tubes, high priced. there's 2 on the NRS gearswap foe about $900. each. Jim Sheflo will be making more this winter, they'll go for $1500, with a $1000 deposit due by Halloween.
Sotars have a good amount of rocker, the floor sits a little deeper in the water, inflatable floor, tubes not as hard as Stiletos (but never had one fold on me), Good price, about $950, good thwart seat and nice foot pegs.
Thrillseaker, not a lot of Rocker, floor sits lower like the Sotar, boat did not seem as finished as a Sotar or a Stiletto. Thrillseekers are supposed to be knockoffs of Stilettos, But I don't see many similarities between the two except for the tube shape, they don't blow up as hard, material is not as good and outfittng was not as nice.
Aire Lynx boats are nice for river running, big tubes, air floor, self bail Quickly, great quality, finished well, great warranty, and repair easily.
Tributary Strikes are a great value, nice boats built well, and handle a lot like a Lynx, but more playfull. Tomcats are a good entry level boat, Don't know how long they will hold up to hard use.
Force, and Force XL, are as nice as the Lynx, but handle better and are more playfull, the XL version is more stable, and the Expedition version (Very hard to find, no longer built) is the XL without the floatbags.
Bandits are nice and light,I don't know about there durability. Hysides will last forever, but are pigs. Wings are also nice, but no longer made. Sotars look to be the best value, highly finished, very tough, nice boat, very happy with mine. Friends swear by there Stilettos, and they are nice, but the price is kinda high (lots of labor, high material costs),but they last and take lots of abuse.
