Masons Branch, the current Woods Ferry and Bucklick were all private with either no or limited access. I don't know anyone that has tried it since the park has bought the access at Woods and Masons Branch, but I would think you could use the WVRC shuttle going down to Masons Branch and access at Bucklick was open last year.

We generally use it as an intermediate run for the newbies stepping up to some bigger rivers. It's a nice run down to about 700 cfs, which happens quite often in dry summers when COE has to make up water to maintain navigation of the Kanawha.
