I have some questions's for all of you local guys. We are going to be running the Upper Gauley in sept. when the release is happening. My question is...is it raftable now? and if not what level is the river runable. I would like to run the river even if it is a mild river before the release just to see the location, scouting location stuff like that.

Second question. How close are the upper and middle gauley? and how different are they when the release is happening. I understand the upper is a higher rating but I have heard the middle is a step up from the new and the upper is a step up from the middle.
