There is a picture in Cascadeâs catalog that shows a set of towers extended beyond the frame.

It looks like it would work pretty well.  Every 2â (per side) allows you to go up to the next 6â standard oar length (using the 1/3rd length oar handle rule as a guide).  As long as theyâre not so far out that theyâre hitting stuff, it seems like it would work good for a narrow boat.
