I have to say, this is what makes me crazy about the democrats, more than anything else. I really thought that Obama would be so much more effective in selling their ACTUAL agenda (as opposed to constantly responding to socialist, death panel, nanny-state, etc).

So far, I have to say he (they) are failing miserably in basic communications. In my opinion, there should be a simple statement of the goal with the benefits of reaching that goal. Let's put it on a website: www.ushealthcaregoals.com. Start there and stay on topic at all times. When something like socialist death panels comes up, call the claimer out for what it is. HAMMER the messengers on the other side who spew the scarier than thou crap. DO NOT LET UP on hammering the radical right on every insane claim. Every time Rush opens his mouth respond with an Oxycontin commercial. Every time one of those guys opened their mouth, I'd wonder aloud exactly what type of service they've been to their country? CONSTANTLY call them out.

Take back the grass roots. Double the number of people at town hall meetings and shout the fuckers down. Throw a few punches when neccesary.  Swift boat every damned right wing demagogue.  Ram the goddamn bills through congress like you've got some balls and laugh at the whiners who bitch and moan. The votes are there.

Each time a Senator or Representative stands out to decry healthcare reform, IMMEDIATELY post/press conference the exact amount of money that person is receiving from the insurance lobby.

The right has given us scorched earth politics for 30 years to achieve their goals. Until the dems burn down Houston (that's a figurative), they will never succeed.
