but with the cool temps at night, we thought the water was still too cold for our needs.  We like to go when it's so damn hot you can't stay out of the water....and cold beer.  Almost there...just a week or two away.

Yea, the water level dropped out alot this past week so you prolly should have gone a little downstream.  One of my favorite sections is from Wollum down to either Baker's Ford (one day trip) or Wollum to Hwy 65 (two day trip).  Another section that serves our needs is from Tyler Bend to Gilbert.  Gilbert is worth the trip all on its own.  Total population of 37.. with a few dogs....nice old country store and one fine resturant....right there on the river bank.

Another "can't miss" spot is just upstream from Wollum...Skull Bluff....and The Narrows.  The Narrows is a narrow bluff that divides the Buf valley from the lower Richland Cr valley.  Lots of elk in that area.
