	Just kidding. Well, maybe not.  Wear her down whining, or tell her "ok but you have to bring me ice water or lemonade when I need it" and get an intercom and use it all the time until she gives in. Alternative: Swamp cooler.  Get a block of ice and blow a fan over it. Winter:  Oil filled radiator heater - I keep my thermostat in my apartment @ about 55 - 60 in the winter and have one of these on a timer in the bathroom.  It starts about an hour before I get up on low so it's about 75 in there when I get up, and it turns off when I leave.  If it's really drafty in your space you'll have trouble with anything but a radiant heater - heaters with blowers or fans won't work well. CONGRATS on getting an office!
