We free dove on about four ships that were accessible that way, one of which had structural parts exposed above the water. Most of the ships are too deep to be seen from the surface though. The most spectacular was the Fujikawa Maru, partly because it is usually prominently featured in any documentary of the attacks of Operation Hailstone being attacked by torpedo bombers with one torpedo running true at the midsection and another veering and porpoising wildly in a clear miss.
