I hear ya aboot electing 3rd party nominees at the local levels, but then again it's the same paradigm we see at the national levels, in which people have been conditioned into thinking that voting for anyone other than a democrat or a republican would be considered throwing their vote away.
I'm not sure how we got to this point where voting for someone you want to see elected is throwing your vote away, and as a result, the people tend to cast their votes solely based on a candidates electability and see 3rd candidate nominees as a joke.
anyway, I'm assuming that you don't know the extent of the powers that the 2 party system has over the electorial process, and how difficult it is for 3rd party candidates to not only get on ballots, but to get into debates, and so on, and the mainstream media pretty much ignores them too, even though they're supposed to report on things like this, but then again, they've been bought by the same interests that have bought the political system and who run our country, and yes, I'm talking about corporations, and it's easy to see that in the way our politicians cast their votes. It's easy to see who they're looking out for, and what their priorities are.
I hear ya when you talk about experience at governing, but what has all that combined experience given us year in and year out? Yep, it's given us our downward spiral from super power status, anyway, that's the problem. You say, "if you want to change the political parties then you have to vote in every election and get others to do so too" and that is exactly what decker, have been trying to communicate the past couple of days, and what does he get in return? Yup, ridicule and resistance from people like you
