And non-scooter owners who wanna get in on the opinion action, please feel free.
I stopped by the bike store down the street at lunch and they have a Kymco People 250:
http://www.strmotorsports.com/showroom/scooters/people250/index.html I
want to get a mid-sized scoot that can handle the highway and they had one of these. Any other thoughts/ideas? They won't let me test drive anything. Anything AMERICAN I could get (please do not suggest a Harley unless they make a scooter)? Considerations in buying? I found this:
http://www.bike2go.com/2007-BALI-MC-13-250-250cc-Luxury-Moped-with-Comfortable-Foam-Ergonomic-Seat12-aluminium-rim-Free-Shipping-p-305-fn-6.html I'm
not confuzed yet but I can tell I soon will be.
Why a scooter you ask? Because I'm afraid if I get a real motorcycle I'll end up dead or in jail - I like to go fast and I think the scooter will curb that a bit. They're more comfortable and easier in my old age as well.

You don't *have* to go fast on a motorcycle.

Yes...if only I could rewire that part of my brain, I'd be fine.

I hear ya' - that's the main reason I've never owned a motorcycle... I know myself too well.

Statistically, most bike accidents happen at speeds under 35 mph.
