...dominate the early parts of the selection process lead to idiotic results. We need a national primary day and required voting (a la some European countries) to keep the fringe fanatics (on both frayed ends of the political spectrum) from messing up the waters.  If the moderate middle mass would only vote, most of the koo-koo candidates would simply cease to exist.
