I always thought that Nazis were leftist by definition.
I could be wrong of course, but I think I heard somewhere that Nazis were among the first to institute gun control laws, abortions, sterilization of crazy or retarded people and had a whole secret police force monitoring what people said and thought. The way I've heard it, they did this and much more in the name of the public good.

So unless I miss my guess, I'd say that the Left in this country are much more like budding Nazis than any Right Wing-nut that I've met.
