They cry ageism, labor lawyer tells you to settle outta court to save money.....75 employees, so we were subject to federal laws. You're right that legal jeopardy isn't common, I exaggerated. This is one example, however. But, it is a headache. Firing for performance has to be supported with shit piles of reports , documented counseling, structured goals set and failed. It takes way too much time. I'm glad I'm no longer the employer.
