this obsession fuels the whole "liberal media bias" which is conservative code for a newspaper brought down a president elected in a landslide for a second term.

this obsession fueled all nonsense directed at clinton over BJ's and whitewater.

this obsession fuels much of the animosity towards obama as its hard to believe for conservatives that in times of crisis their party was rejected for continued leadership: there must be a conspiracy there, i know, he's a muslim or not born in the US.

i just read yet another book on watergate: there is no connection between years of nixon's unethical behavior and a bureaucratic screwup. nixon was dirty from the start and felt the president was above the law. obama is the guy who's never held a job or whatever the right's criticism is and in the case of fast and furious let some bad decisions happen. nowhere near breaking into offices, bugging civilians, sicking the IRS on enemies and the massive coverup that occurred from the top down.
