How 'bout my example above - what if the Syrian "freedom fighters" were able to use Anthrax against government targets - would that be as acceptable as using a suicide bomber apparently is?

I don't know how the "Western World" can countenance using suicide bombing in a revolution we happen to support, while declaring it "terrorism" when employed in revolutions we oppose, and not reveal ourselves as complete hypocrites, cynically shaping the "rules" to suit our own ends.

As an extension of the car bomb question I started with, I've got real unresolved issues with a lot of the drone strikes (specially where we're not actively engaged in combat on the ground) and the way we smoked OBL (we should have given him a fair trial and jailed him for life if convicted - "kill 'em back" is a losing approach IMO.)

Not pretending I have "The Answer" - but I'm surprised that y'all are so comfortable with this - I don't see it as such an easy question...
