Kinda like the native americans wouldn't harm a crazy person. At my previous house, I had a partially smashed mailbox for a long time and it was the longest that any mailbox survived. Just wasn't any challenge or something. There were birds nesting inside the box and the mail would get soaked and stuff, since the door wouldn't close, but at least it survived
