Never know what you got 'til it's gone...
Several of our wildlife areas now require parking fees. On the whole, I don't mind, as they're cheap if you get an annual pass and use it, and I'm one of those that don't mind paying for what they get. I'd like to see how much middle and upper class welfare is being created by the program vs paying for it by taxes, but I have no principled objection. I'm wondering if having to put some skin in the game may help limit use to people who actually appreciate the areas, so maybe fire ring proliferation and nasty campsites will be a little cut down.
