You know, the Dutch have accomplished that rather nicely, and pretty close to universally.

Insurance companies have remained private, and financially successful, and most people have coverage that they obtain with some government subsidies for some folks. And they like it.
And their costs are way lower than ours.

But we're so concerned about protecting ourselves from possibly losing what little we have that we apparently have lost the ability to function as a group of adults and we ignore the fact that we are paying for this in dollars, in disease, and in lives lost.

I'll grant you that Holland is much smaller than the USA, but it's considerably more diverse than it was 100 years ago, and they did this in moderrn times.


Are you seriously suggesting that we are somehow not able to do something the Dutch can do?
