The rest of Maine is nicer. Lots of really good, inexpensive eats, though. My sister lives out in the boonies. The biggest political news there is which guy gets the snowplow contract. Very little else matters much, and that's the way she likes it. Lets her do what's important, like grow things and cook and make art.
You could do a lot worse, like getting sent to Mississippi or something.
