the French have a good word for what he did.  Mechancete.  It means being nasty just for the sake of meanness.  I think that transcends cultural "keepin it real".

Frankly it was the fait accompli interview with his own countryman that sealed it.  He was laughing about how he handed it to that American.  If that's what this is about, fine, so be it, but don't try to couch poor behavior as some kind of cultural asset.
