The new Salto is a really good boat, hightly recommended for people who are 170 lbs or less.
The new plastic seems to be holding up well, I've paddled mine down runs like Tallulah and Linville and the boat has done well.
Eskimo is selling the boats through retailers, where are you located?
The warranty is one of the best in the industry, 100% the first year, 66% the second year and 33% the third year. That's right, two and a half years from now if you break the hull you can get a new boat at 33% off. I don't think that two many others offer that kind of protection.
Right now Eskimo is not selling directly to the public unless you are really far away from any of the retailers.
