I see that you have much more insight and/or hindsight into this situation. I wish things could be candy-coated ya-know, but it doesn't work well like that when money and legalities are involved. I guess the real point is that the Gauley is an amazing and beautiul place to kayak, and nothing will stop us from living with it for a few months a year. So what if we have to paddle longer, or hike further, or drive more fucked up roads. We will do it because we love the river.

Faith still remains in me though. I will keep it until the end result. It's time to paddle and leave all these worries behind anyway.
