I'm not even going to try to put into words how I'm feeling right now. I got to know Stan over only a few months working last summer at Sunburst. He's one of those rare people who can make a lasting impression on someone after only a short time of knowing them. Stan was an amazing friend to me and an excellent teacher. He (along with Scott and Mindy) talked me through all the lines on the Tellico on my first trip, he knew exactly what to do and say to make guide training fun and effective, and he could throw down like a badass. It's still hard for me to belive that I won't have to opportunity to watch him cartwheel between the ledges at broken nose or shred up the bottom hole at double suck. Thanks to everyone for their support. Stan was and will always be my hero.
