We hiked the dries of Paddy Creek and the spillway below Lake James on Saturday. iAy carumba!  During Frances, this little stream probably had 20,000 cfs going through it, and the water needed a little elbow room, so it rearranged the topography in very obvious, mind blowing ways. What is an acre times 100 feet?  It is earth revealed out there now. There is one spot on the outside of a turn where the stream cut the bank back to bottom of a high tension wire tower.  

In addition, the spillway rivals that one that Sam Drevo did in the videos.  The transition into the pool at the bottom is good to go.  I'm not sure about the length of the pool, however.
