Yes, the water is dirty at the playspot, but it IS fun there. The spot, however, may be difficult to use with the current terrorist situation. The spot, "the wave" or "waterworks" is located at a drop in the river that is between the Atlanta Waterworks (upstream) and the Atlanta & Cobb County waste water plants (downstream). During the Olympics & during periods afterwards, the authorities closed off the area for fear of terrorist attack on Atlanta's water supply. I do not know what the situation is right now... It requires "technique" to get in anyway...it is best to meet up with someone that knows the way and go with them first.
