I met Brian at the Dries of the New a year or so ago.  
The river was very high that day, an intense big water run.
I have not paddled it before, so I was very happy when he offered to show me the lines. We did three runs that day.
I really enjoyed paddling with him.
After that we paddled the green a few times.
He was a great guy.
It is sad, but I know he is smileing somewhere now.
