Chris, really sorry to hear.....keeping him in my thoughts.....
New

i dont know if i ever met brian....really sorry to hear this, will keep him in my thoughts. Sounds like he was a really good paddler and a great guy. I believe everything happens for a reason....though when stuff like this happens it's hard to accept that. And sometimes we never find out what the reason was.
I have always respected the Green immensely. When i started paddling it was the pinnacle.....and for me in a lot of ways it always will be. And in Brian's honor I will continue to respect it.
Any of us can go at any time...I've had two of my really envelope-pushing kayaking aquantinces die in accidents that didnt involve kayaking....and anytime I hear of a paddler dying that I know, or have friends that know...it makes me pause and question if this is worth it. In the end i always decide that it is. To me life is just one big river trip anyways, and the paddling is just one part of it, you start at the headwaters and eventually u wind up at the ocean.
Sorry to hear ur friend passed away chris, and as always I am hear for you if u need someone to talk to about it....
