	This past Sunday local paddler John Helsby died while kayaking Ashlu Creek, 1.5 hours north of Vancouver. Some information regarding the incident can be found on the WKABC Message Board at www.whitewater.org. A memorial service is being planned for mid next week. Anyone wishing to attend can reply to me for details when they become available.
