Different concept, I think...

The Kingpin is a full on playboat that happens to be pretty good at getting you down river (for what it is anyway). The 4fun is an all around boat that plays extremely well. Both were really comfortable to me, but I give the nod to the K.P. for hotter play performance.  In particular, I liked the sliceyness of it, & I felt the shorter length would be better for our local playspot. I also liked the additional comfort.

The only hesitation I had was whether to wait for the Jackson Super Star. However, that would have cost me $200 additional I don't have, and who knows when it will be available? I don't have a playboat right now! When the SS does come out, I bet it is going to totally bad-A. EJ has a lot of experience in the industry, not just design and paddling, and I would expect most everything Jackson puts out to kick booty.

I do think the KP 6.3 will its value well as a used boat when it comes tim to part ways bec. of comfort and downriver ability.
