I was informed of the passing of my good friend Bill Bowey Today. He was killed on an exploratory descent near Mt. rainer in washington this weekend. I dont know any details other than he lost his life.
Whats this got to do with your question. Well I was thinking about all the good times we had together and one of the memories revolved around paddling the Upper North Santiam River the 1st weekend of Jan. Several years ago. It was around ten degrees out. There was on inch of horefrost on everything...Boats, paddles, hands everything. Now Bill was a HIGH CALIBER boater and I was a newbie...in a raft at that but he was more than happy to be out on the water rain or shine heat or cold. Thanks Man, you will be missed by many.
