is no less one of dismay and concern than US pop culture view of Muslims. Most are quick to express alarm at US sexual objectivication of women, attitudes toward women on the street and in pop culture (music, etc.)....the list goes on and on.   When you spend some time there, you start to see the parallels in how mass populations view other cultures.  Religious and social intolerance is as alive in well in the US as it is in other countries, alas.  Being raised in a western society makes it difficult if not impossible for most Americans to see clearly.
