the water in the green is not all that clean.  although there is little chemical funk in the water, there are usually high fecal coliform readings.  the lake is not the cleanest out there, and there's plenty of ag nps and sediment.  still a lot cleaner than the stench broad or dirty bird....but dirtier than the park or wilderness areas.
