I've run lots of Class III/IV+ runs in inflatable kayaks New

what's dangerous about them if you actually have some concept of how to paddle? Dam sure a lot safer on low volume steep creeks, a lot harder to pin and you can't get entrapped easily.

Have you ever paddled a decent IK? Have you seen anyone besides some tourist on the Nanty paddle an IK?

I paddle kayaks, rafts, cats, canoes and, yes, even duckies.
They all have their strong points and weak points. Most of the comments that I've read on this forums about inflatable kayaks come from people that have no experience with them, never paddled one, and the only thing they know is that there are some that you can put just about anyone in and get down an
easy whitewater river. In the hands of an experienced paddler,
some of these craft are quite capable of running very difficult water.
