being that hapless paddler stuck under tombstone sat on the upper, scott whose name was unknown to me did save my life he deserves the accolade Hero, as i struggled to raise my head creating an air pocket to catch a breath i could see light and suddenly an unknown angel i could't reach my grap loop or knife with my right hand and was holding onto a log with my left so i wouldn't be pulled down farther many thanks to a dedicated fellow boater. i was on my first upper trip this season and appx 10th overall with a very experienced group at the time following two very experienced and trusted friends i was told to stay hard right but we entered moving left to right i hit something and lost my forward speed the rest s---- from now on i'll always take the right slot approach and encourage others to do so. i would like to thank all the individuals who struggled to free my boat i learned more than i bargined for sat but living to talk about it is only because of people like Scott Debalski and the many others who helped theres alot of good in this world and the boating community certainly doesn't lack for its' share |
