Ok, first of all Brush Creek is a very very easy creek in which myself, my brother have run it many times. My brother little brother (12yr) had done the powerhouse run and in town run and was doing awesome. he has a very solid roll and great paddler. At first we were scared because we were told the the pools were very shallow, yes they were shallower but not dangerous. He knows what the risks of kayaking are and we as a family saw it last year 4/29/02 when my older brothers friend died with him on the river! we all know the risks involved and fully aware but my brother and i and very very solid boaters and brush creek taught us our skills and thought it would do the same for him. he did very well and we are all very proud and he is hucking stuff that people who have been paddling 5-10 years dont think about. think of him as a mini tao. ps. i was in the green big gun and will have dry meadow video posted in a few days.
